Get involved as much as you can, socially, as well as with Arnold Air Society and the Cadet Corps.

Find a POC who is going to do what you want to do and ask them how to get there, see what they did, Look at their resume, pick their brains for all the information you can.

Freshman 1985 Held various positions in the corps, joined Arnold Air Society, attended many AFROTC social events
Sophomore 1986 Arnold Air Society Squadron Commander, held a position in the corps, took spring semester off to work on grades, obtained field training slot at Vandenberg AFB, CA, six week camp.
